Wakehurst Road, Battersea

Whole-home design in Battersea, SW11 — one of our largest single-house projects to date. The brief covered the kitchen, walk-through pantry, boot room, laundry, master bedroom wardrobe with alcove niches, and a bespoke media wall, all reading as one considered design rather than seven separate fit-outs sharing an address.

The kitchen — Aldana in Painted Indigo

The main kitchen is built in our Aldana painted range, finished in a deep, characterful Painted Indigo with smooth Lay-On doors. Handles are knurled brushed stainless steel bar pulls at 192mm centres — substantial in the hand without competing with the bold paint colour. The worktop is the real centrepiece: 20mm Infinity Surfaces Classico Magnifico Satin, a large-format porcelain with warm marble veining, fabricated with waterfall ends, a floating shelf, rebated hobs and full cladding on the sink run. Above, Renoir large-format polished porcelain continues the cladding upwards — over 15 square metres of porcelain across the kitchen — so the surface reads as one sculptural plane rather than a stack of cabinets.

Appliances — BORA Professional and Fisher & Paykel

Cooking is handled by a full BORA Professional system: induction cooktop, gas cooktop, Tepan stainless steel grill, BORA X BO steam oven, a multi-drawer warming set, and two BORA Pro extractors integrated into the worktop. Refrigeration is a pair of 906mm Fisher & Paykel integrated tall units — one fridge with ice, one freezer with ice and water dispenser — finished with matching stainless steel door panels. The dishwasher is an integrated ASKO 14-place. Down in the dedicated laundry are a matching ASKO washing machine and an ASKO heat-pump tumble dryer with pull-out laundry basket.

Quooker — Flex, Cube, Scale Control and Soap

Above a BLANCO CLARON 700-U undermount sink sits a comprehensive Quooker setup: Quooker Flex in round stainless steel for boiling water, paired with the Quooker CUBE for filtered chilled and sparkling water, plus a Quooker Scale Control unit and a matching Quooker soap dispenser. Boiling, chilled, sparkling, soft and soapy — all from one neat tap arrangement.

The walk-through pantry

Hidden behind a pair of bespoke walkthrough doors in matching Aldana Painted Indigo is a full walk-through pantry. Inside: over four metres of pre-oiled solid oak shelving across three runs, full-height drawer towers, a Kessebohmer LeMans II corner system in anthracite for the awkward corner, and its own 20mm Marbled White quartz worktop — keeping the materials palette deliberately layered rather than uniform across the home.

The boot room — Aldana in Deep Forest

A complete colour contrast: the same Aldana range, painted in Deep Forest, paired with Egger Natural Wild Oak for the feature shelving. Handles are knurled T-bar in Aged Brass; coat hooks in Dark Brushed Brass. A bespoke open base unit with three shelves, a full corner robe for outerwear and shoes, a pre-oiled solid oak bench shelf along one wall, and tongue-and-groove panelling running floor-to-ceiling. Dark, warm, hardworking — the antithesis of the bright kitchen above it.

The media wall — Aldana in Taupe Grey

In the sitting area, a bespoke media wall in Aldana Taupe Grey houses a built-in TV niche with push-to-open and flap-down cabinetry, integrated ventilation grilles for the AV equipment behind, and Natural Wild Oak revealed on the cabinet interiors — a deliberate warm-toned moment whenever a door is opened.

Master wardrobe and bedroom niches

Upstairs, the master bedroom houses a full bespoke wardrobe run in Zola Soft Matte Cashmere — soft, near-white, with multiple single-hanging robes (each with internal Blum LegRabox drawers), full-height shallow larders, and four feature panels finished in silver-tinted mirror. Routered LED lighting runs underneath every shelf and along the side gables, so the wardrobe glows from within when opened. Slim 90mm Brushed Stainless Steel Soho handles keep the front face quiet.

A pair of bespoke alcove niches in matching painted finish completes the bedroom — designed and built to the chimney breast architecture exactly, with full-height EAR doors and matching knurled stainless steel bar handles.

A single project, one design team

What makes a whole-home project like Wakehurst Road feel cohesive — rather than reading as seven separate kitchens stacked in one address — is one design team carrying the thread through every space. Materials repeat thoughtfully across rooms: the knurled bar handle in the kitchen and bedroom niches, the Egger Wild Oak appearing in both the pantry and boot room, the Aldana paint range running in three different colours across kitchen, boot room and media wall. The result is a home that feels deliberately curated rather than catalogue-assembled.
