Bespoke Kitchens in Edenbridge

Bespoke kitchens for Edenbridge, Marsh Green, Four Elms and the villages along the Eden Valley — designed, built and fitted by our own team.

Designing kitchens for Edenbridge homes

Edenbridge is squarely inside our core catchment. We design kitchens for homes along the High Street, the Stangrove estate, the newer developments off Skinners Lane, and the outlying villages of Marsh Green, Four Elms, Crockham Hill and Hever. From the first survey visit to the moment we hand over the completed kitchen, you deal with the same small team working out of our Lingfield showroom just over the border in Surrey.

Every project is fully bespoke. Cabinet sizes are made to fit the room rather than forcing the room to fit the cabinets, worktop runs are planned around the exact services and joist positions, and any tricky details — curved ends, angled islands, reclaimed beams to work around — are handled in the factory before anything gets delivered to site.

What we see in Edenbridge

A lot of Edenbridge housing stock is late Victorian or Edwardian — solid brick, sometimes with extensions from the 1970s and 80s that were never done particularly well. The most common project we see here is removing a tired extension kitchen, combining it with the neighbouring dining room, and putting in a single larger space with an island. That usually means a rework of the plumbing, removing a supporting wall, and planning lighting and power properly from day one — all things we can help coordinate.

For the period farmhouses and oast-house conversions out toward Hever and Markbeech we're often asked for something that looks hand-made but performs like a modern kitchen: hand-painted in-frame cabinetry with soft-close drawers, a butler's sink, a stone worktop, full integration of Neff or Miele appliances, and a boiling-water tap from Quooker. It's a very workable combination in older properties.

Frequently asked questions — kitchens in Edenbridge

Do you install kitchens in Edenbridge and the surrounding villages?
Yes — Edenbridge, Marsh Green, Four Elms, Hever, Crockham Hill, Markbeech and the surrounding hamlets are all inside our normal catchment from the Lingfield showroom. There's no mileage charge for surveys or installations across this area.
Can you design a kitchen that works with exposed beams or uneven floors in older Edenbridge homes?
Yes. Uneven floors and low beams are standard in older properties around Edenbridge, and our fitters scribe cabinetry and worktops on site to follow the real shape of the room. We also design cabinets with adjustable plinths so the whole run can be levelled up accurately even where the floor isn't.
Do you work with our builder or architect if we're extending?
Absolutely. Many Edenbridge projects come in alongside a rear extension or side return. We can join the conversation early — often before plans are fixed — to make sure the kitchen layout, window positions, door swings and services are all properly coordinated with your builder.
What worktop materials work best in Edenbridge kitchens?
For older homes, natural stone (granite, marble for calmer traffic, quartzite for hard-wearing) or engineered quartz are the most common choices. For contemporary extensions we're fitting a lot of sintered stone (Dekton, Neolith) and porcelain — thin, tough, and available in very convincing stone-look finishes. We specify and template all worktops ourselves, not through a third party.
How does your pricing compare to the big national kitchen retailers?
Because we make and install our own kitchens rather than being a franchise, there are no middle margins. For equivalent cabinet quality (solid timber doors, dovetailed drawers, soft-close runners, mitred worktops) we're typically 15–25% below the national showroom chains, and we're happy to quote directly against any written estimate you already have.
