Bespoke Kitchens in Croydon
Bespoke kitchens for Croydon and the surrounding neighbourhoods — from the studio that spent years based in the borough, now designing from our Lingfield showroom.
Designing kitchens for Croydon homes
Croydon is where Garrett Kitchens grew up. Our studio was based in the borough for years before we moved to our purpose-fitted showroom in Lingfield in 2026, and we've designed and installed kitchens across South Croydon, Sanderstead, Purley, Coulsdon, Shirley, Addiscombe and Selsdon throughout that time. The postcode on our door has changed; the relationships haven't. Our designers and fitters are in the borough most weeks, and Croydon surveys remain free of charge.
Every kitchen is made to order — cabinets sized to the room, worktops templated to the actual walls, appliances specified around how you cook. One designer runs your project from the first home survey through design, manufacture and installation to handover, and the installation is done by our own fitters rather than subcontractors.
What we see in Croydon
Croydon's housing stock covers almost every brief we take. The tree-lined avenues of Sanderstead, Selsdon and Purley are full of substantial 1930s detached and semi-detached homes — the classic candidates for a rear extension with an open-plan kitchen-diner, a large island and a bank of full-height larders. South Croydon and Addiscombe bring Victorian and Edwardian terraces where clever layout work matters more than sheer size, and Shirley and Coulsdon sit somewhere in between. Several of our completed projects in the borough — including three in Sanderstead alone — are in our portfolio.
Being thirty minutes down the A22 in Lingfield changes less than you might think. Surveys, mid-installation checks and aftercare visits all still happen in person, and if you want to stand in a kitchen before you commit, the Lingfield showroom has full displays you can open, test and compare — a short drive out past Selsdon and Warlingham.

Frequently asked questions — kitchens in Croydon
- Do you still have a showroom in Croydon?
- Not any more — after years based in the borough we moved to a larger, purpose-fitted showroom in Lingfield, Surrey in 2026, about 30 minutes from central Croydon. We still design and install kitchens across Croydon every month, surveys in the borough are free, and the showroom is an easy drive out via Sanderstead and Warlingham if you want to see full kitchen displays in person.
- Which parts of Croydon do you cover?
- All of them. Most of our Croydon work comes from South Croydon, Sanderstead, Purley, Selsdon, Shirley, Addiscombe and Coulsdon, but the whole borough — and the neighbouring areas of Bromley, Beckenham, Warlingham and Caterham — sits comfortably inside our catchment.
- Can I see kitchens you've installed in the Croydon area?
- Yes. Our portfolio includes completed projects in Sanderstead (three of them), Bromley and the surrounding area — the Westfield Avenue project linked below is a good example. Visit the Lingfield showroom and your designer can walk you through Croydon-area projects similar to your own brief.
- What does a bespoke kitchen in Croydon typically cost?
- Our complete kitchens typically start around £25,000 including cabinetry, worktops, mid-range appliances, installation and VAT. Larger extension projects with stone worktops, premium appliances and island features usually land between £40,000 and £80,000. You get a detailed written quote after the free survey — no estimates plucked from the air.
- How long does a Croydon kitchen project take?
- For a straight replacement in an existing room, expect roughly 10–14 weeks end to end: 2–4 weeks of design, 6–8 weeks of manufacture and 1–2 weeks of installation. If your kitchen is part of an extension, we fit around your builder's programme and coordinate the details directly with them.
